LAUTECH Shut Down As Students Protest Robbery Attacks (EYE WItness Report With Photos)

OK.
At about 8:30am i was on my way to school. Something seem strange, it was unusual to see to many people by the gate, just few more steps i could see the why, the School's Main gate has been closed.

I  wanted to really know what was the cause of this immobility.

so i began my questions, Why?

needless to say i had lots of different versions of the story.

I was told one of the raiding thief was caught and he escaped. Some said it was a demostration over the recently increased acceptance fee, well i can't really pick point the matter, as Mr. Solace was just too hot to dialogue with.

I stood at the LAUTECH main gate for about 29min still inquiring then I saw the appearance of the Vice Chancelor himself(Prof. A. S. Gbadegesin) (8:59am).

The VC was on foot, apparently he walked from his lodge (not too far anyway).

I must say that the VC is one smart guy.

The VC stood inquiring why the gates were locked, to my surprise even the VC didn't know the gates were locked?
the VC stood there for some minutes with some of entourage making series of calls with their various flashy smartphones.
After a while he (The VC)  was told that SUG locked all the gates leading into campus because the school authority has been silent over the deplorable state of security within campus and its environs.

Then Just a minute later i saw a charging group of people heading towards the main gate {on the inside}  a little closer and i could identify them to be SUG friends and family. Then came Bakare Solace.

The set of bad guys didn't want any camera(for whatever reason), they came and sang the regular ALUTA mantra and wouldn't give the VC audience. 20min later the VC departed the scene.  4min later the gate was opened and that was a big drama. The time now. 9:23am. Lecture didnot hold.

A source claims if the school management continues to turn a deaf ear a similar demonstration is going to be staged, over and over until the School Authority meet the fundamental social need (Security of Life and property).
